William Kemp, M.D.
Dr. Kemp is a board-certified and fellowship-trained spine neurosurgeon, specializing in the diagnosis and treatment of the complete spectrum of spinal conditions. This spans from complex scoliosis and intradural tumors to spinal stenosis and herniated discs. Dr. Kemp is an expert at advanced disc replacement and when appropriate, prefers motion preservation over fusion. Knowing 90% of people can be helped without surgery, Dr. Kemp believes in non-operative solutions whenever possible, such as spine-specialized physical therapy, regenerative medicine, or injections. When surgical intervention is necessary he utilizes minimally-invasive and state of the art technology to optimize patient care and outcomes.
Dr. Kemp graduated with honors from the University of Notre Dame and received his medical degree from the Indiana University School of Medicine. He completed his internship in general surgery at William Beaumont Hospital and completed his neurological surgery residency at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation. He completed a spine-specialized neurosurgery fellowship at the University of Wisconsin. Dr. Kemp joined Neurosurgical Associates in 2025.
